(This is another segment of Torah’s story)

Sweat beads down Torah’s brow as he hacks down vines and drags his overheating body through the dense forest. The area Torah is going through is a strange area of The Terra, it changes the biome it represents every few hours, the flora and fauna are extremely unique. Torah stops to gaze at one of the large ferns on the side of a tree.

“What a strange plant. The leaves are so large, but it doesn’t appear to have deep roots.” Torah looks closer and notices the leaves starting to curl and recede.

“Oh no, it’s happening again.” Torah franticly searches for a closing or receding plant, noticing a larger specimen of the fern he had just observed still open, he runs and leaps into the centre as the fronds close around him. Torah grasps his knees and curls up, preparing for the oncoming torrent of elements. The land changes biomes constantly through extreme events such as storms, earthquakes, floods, and instant droughts and heatwaves. Traveling through this area is nothing less of suicide.

Water starts to drain into the fronds. “Please just be a lake, please just be a lake.” Torah pleads as he takes in as much air as he can hold before bursting out of the plant. Gazing upward he sees that the surface isn’t too far away.

“My eyes aren’t burning so it must not be ocean biome yet.” Torah thought to himself as he quickly swam to the surface. He was confronted with a layer of ice, now realizing the freezing temperature of the water and acts quickly. Drawing his sword Torah closes his eyes and swings with an arc of underwater flame. The ice melts and he bursts through, gasping for air.Torah climbs out and sits on the ice, radiating inner heat from his Draconic blood.

“Looks like the new biome is Taiga.” The trees have shifted their branches to be like coniferous trees holding large sludges of snow. Torah picks himself up and continues his trek through the snow. Torah pulls out a map as he walks.

“Looks like the Imperial Capital is just a few miles ahead, it’s time to finally end this war.”
